Worship
Worship is the heart of The Church. We gather for worship every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Our worship has been described as relaxed and approachable while taking seriously sacred ritual. You will see people wearing anything from dresses, boots and jeans, to Wonder Woman t-shirts and Converse. Our services include a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary worship music, prayer, scripture, and a message that invites us to grow as disciples of Jesus. Together we affirm our shared faith through the Apostles’ Creed, and children are invited forward for a special Children’s Time to hear a story of God’s love. On the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate Holy Communion, gathering at Christ’s table to break bread together.

Wednesday Night Gatherings
At FUMC Mexia, we believe transformation into Christ-likeness happens in circles, not rows. Wednesdays are one of our favorite nights of the week! We gather at 5:15 p.m. for a shared meal and time to catch up, laugh, and reconnect. At 6:00 p.m., children, youth, and adults head to their own classes for learning, conversation, and growth.
There’s a place for everyone at the table — and in the classroom. Whether you come for the food, the fellowship, or the faith formation, we would love to see you on Wednesday nights.
Gathering with
St. Luke UMC
On the fourth Sunday of each month, FUMC and St. Luke UMC come together for a shared worship service, alternating between our sanctuaries. These gatherings are more than a change of location, they are a visible sign of unity in Christ. As we pray, sing, and serve together, we strengthen our bond as sister congregations and reflect the beautiful diversity of God’s Church.
Our Conference
We are part of the connectional ministry of the Horizon Texas Conference of The United Methodist Church, serving alongside congregations across our region in a shared mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ. Our conference is led by Bishop Ruben Saenz Jr., whose leadership guides and encourages churches as we work together to proclaim the gospel, serve our communities, and live out God’s love in the world.
